In September 1997, Mark and his wife Cathy founded Cowboy Sports Agents (CSA).  As President and Chief Executive Officer of the Oklahoma corporation, Mark was responsible for the overall management of the $1.7 million a year corporation.  CSA was established with a commitment to the advancement and promotion of the sport of bull riding/rodeo and its athletes. Through professional representation of cowboy-athletes, under Mark’s leadership CSA ensured the continued competitive success of the sport and establishes an opportunity for equal compensation and recognition of rodeo athletes with other professional sports figures.  Additionally, Mark was responsible for bringing a higher level of business sense to the sport by directing the proper image use of his clients and encouraging advanced financial management for the cowboy-athletes.
Through CSA, Mark was directly responsible for soliciting more than $10 million in new sponsorship money for cowboy-athletes and rodeo/bull riding events.  He also brought a new level of public recognition to the sport by securing features of CSA athletes in major mainstream publications like Newsweek, Sports Illustrated, Esquire and Rolling Stone magazine.

To complement CSA, Mark and Cathy founded a second Oklahoma-based corporation – OKC Gear – to handle the merchandise sales of the cowboy athletes-represented by CSA.
